Objective:To explore the relationship between the Plasma bilirubin leveland intracranial arterial stenosis.Methods:159adult patients with cerebral infarction experienced digitalsubstraction angiography(DSA) were enrolled,and105patients with potentialintracranial arterial stenosis (grade>50%,at least one vessel) and54patientswithout stenosis or mild grade(grade≤50%)were included as control.Plasmabilirubin level was analyzed and conventional risk factors of cerebral infarctionsuch as gender,age,hypertension,diabetes,long-smoking,and plasma levelsof triglyceride,high-density lipoprotein,low-density lipoprotein were evaluatedin all subjects. Results: Plasma concentration of bilirubin were significantly lower inpatients with potential stenosis than control. The severer the intracranial arterialstenosis is,the lower bilirubin concentration in the blood. Conclusion:Low level of plasma bilirubin is closely related to intracranialarterial stenosis.Low concentrations of bilirubin is probably the risk factor ofintracranial arterial stenosis....
