| Objective:This study is aimed at observing treatment and incidence of renal injury of children with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura without renal injury treated with Danshao Granule No. III which was made on the principle of the cooling blood and removing stasis and dredging collaterals, compared with western routine treatment, in order to explore preventing effects of renal injury of the cooling blood and removing stasis and dredging collaterals therapy in treating children with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura.Methods:68cases of children with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura with no renal injuries from2009.October to2011.November both in the clinic and in the ward in the TCM hospital in Jiangsu Province were selected, all subjects were divided randomly into two groups, TCM treatment group and western medicine treatment group. The TCM treatment group (35cases) was given Danshao Granule No. III (containing shuiniujiao,sheng di huang,chi shao,danshen,ji xue teng,chan tui,fang feng,hu zhang,gancao), with the effect of cooling blood and removing stasis, while western medicine treatment group(33cases) was treated with western routine treatment which mainly used Dipyridamole tablets and Vitamin C tablets. The course of the two groups was12weeks and followed up for12weeks. Observe the variations of urine routine test (urine protein and urine red blood cells),urine m-Alb, urine NAG, urine GAL and scores of TCM symptoms and the incidence of renal injuries.Results:1.The general efficacy of the two groups, the total effective rate of the observation group was97.1%, and that of the control group is78.8%, and the difference had a statistical significance (P<0.05);2. After the treatment the incidence of Henoch-Schonlein nephritis in the observation group was25.7%,and that of the control group is51.5%;at the end of the12-week follow up, the incidence of Henoch-Schonlein nephritis in the observation group was17.1%,and that of the control group is39.4%and the difference had a statistical significance(P<0.05);3.The urine m-Alb of the observation group after24weeks treatment is significantly lower than that before treatment,the difference has highly statistical significance(P<0.01),the urine m-Alb of the control group after24weeks treatment is higher than that before treatment,but the difference has no statistical significance(P>0.05),but the difference of urine m-Alb between the two groups has dramatically statistical significancc(P<0.01),the variation of urine m-Alb with time effect between the two groups has statistical significancc(P>0.05);4. The variation of urine NAG of the two groups after4weeks and12weeks treatment has dramatically statistical significance(P<0.01),so is that at the end of the follow-up (P<0.05)5. The variation of urine GAL of the two groups after4weeks treatment,12weeks treatment, and at the end of the follow-up have no statistical significance(P>0.05);6. The observation group is better at mproving the symptoms and signs than the control group, and children of the two groups had no serious untoward effect during the therapy session.Conclusion:The cooling blood and removing stasis and dredging collaterals therapy on treating children with Henoch-Schonlein nephritis can improve the symptoms and signs, and is better than western routine therapy; can also decrease the incidence of urine red blood cells and urine protein; can lower the amount of urine m-Alb, urine NAG, has the function of protecting the renal tubular and glomerular and shows good prevention of renal injury. |
