Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of compound arbutin cream, and to probe the objective evaluation of chloasma by evaluating the treatment for chloasma with VISTA facial image analysis system, in order to provide a more scientific, more objective, and more efficient evaluation to the clinical treatment for chloasma.Methods:Assign30female patients with melasma into treatment group and control group,15patients in treatment group are dosed with compound arbutin cream for external use;15patients in control group are dosed with tretinoin cream and butyrate hydrocortisone cream.1course of treatment cost1month, and statistically analyze the score of skin lesions before and after treatment as well as the change of absolute score of speckles and brown speckles measured by VISIA after3courses.Result:(1) The total effective rate of clinical efficacy in two groups are perspectively86.67%and73.33%, which means there was statistically no significant difference between treatment group and control group (P>0.05);(2) quantitatively analyzing speckles and brown speckles before and after treatment with VISIA facial image analysis system, the change rate of treatment group is obviously better than of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Compound arbutin cream has better clinical efficacy in treating chloasma of women, and without obvious adverse reactions; VISIA facial image analysis system can be used as a quantitative evaluation tool for deciding the treatment efficacy of chloasma.
