Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a common, frequently-occurring disease in clinical,which is significantly increasing in recent years. Chronic rhinosinusitis is mainly refers to nasal-sinus mucosa chronic inflammatory disease and its course of disease over12weeks, Generally divided into two types, no polyps and have polyps. Surgical therapy has become an important opportunity when chronic rhinosinusitis had failed in the standardization of drug therapies,at present,functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is the preferred method of surgical therapy. The main purpose of the surgery is creating physiologic local environment for the benign outcome of the nasal-sinus mucosa, Ultimately to the recovery of the form and own function of the nasal-sinus mucosa. The recovery of Postoperative nasal-sinus mucosa,now has became a focus of the present research. The variation of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) and Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) content in the Postoperative nasal-sinus mucosa has a closely relationship with the recovery of nasal-sinus mucosa. This research will compare Biyuan Heji with14-membered ring macrolides antibiotic,after then,observe the variation of EGF and EGFR content in the Postoperative nasal-sinus mucosa, to further define the application of traditional Chinese medicine after functional endoscopic sinus surgery.Objection.This topic is designed to observe the impact of Biyuan Heji and14-membered ring macrolides antibiotic on the variation of EGF and EGFR content in the Postoperative nasal-sinus mucosa of CRS. Thus discuss the value of Chinese medicine using in Postoperative of FESS, to provide objective data and clinical practice for the participation of Chinese medicine after the functional endoscopic sinus surgery.Method:Sleet20cases up to standard into group and divide them into two. The two groups of patients are given the same perioperative treatment before FESS. Then take specimins (from the back edge of maxillary sinus ostium) in the1st,2nd,4th week after FESS. Two groups of patients began to take medication1week after FESS. Expression of EGF and EGFR in the sinus mucosa is determined with SP immunohistochemical method in10cases from experimental group (Budesonide nasal spray and Biyuan Heji) and10cases from control group (Budesonide nasal spray and14-membered ring macrolides antibiotic). The expressional intensity and the location of EGF and EGFR were observed under the light microscope. Evaluate the intensity of expression according to the staining degree and the staining area. Finally,we draw a conclusion by statistics analysis.Results:In group A and group B, The expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR between groups and in the group:One week after surgery (before treatment), The expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR showed there was no difference between group A and group B (p>0.05); Two weeks after surgery (one week after treatment), The expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR showed there was no difference between group A and group B(p>0.05); Four weeks after surgery (three weeks after treatment), The expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR showed there was no difference between group A and group B(p>0.05); Before and after treatment one week, The expressional intensity of EGF showed there was obvious difference in group A(p<0.05), The expressional intensity of EGFR showed there was very obvious difference(p<0.01); Before and after treatment three weeks, The expressional intensity of EGF showed there was very obvious difference in group A(p<0.01), The expressional intensity of EGFR showed there was very obvious difference(p<0.01); Before and after treatment one week,The expressional intensity of EGF showed there was very obvious difference in group B(p<0.01), The expressional intensity of EGFR showed there was obvious difference (p<0.05); Before and after treatment three weeks, The expressional intensity of EGF showed there was very obvious difference in group B(p<0.01),The expressional intensity of EGFR showed there was very obvious difference (p<0.01).Conclusion:â‘ In the experimental group (group A) and control group (group B), EGF and EGFR all have expressed, but there was no difference between groups. Before treatment, the expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR was weaker. After treatment one and three weeks, the expressional intensity was stronger, and there was obvious difference compared with before treatment.â‘¡The expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR in operative cavity after FESS was a dynamic process and showed the high concordance in the process. And that the expressional is particularly strong under the influence of the drug. Which illustrate that The expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR may be related to the stand or fall of wound healing.â‘¢The expressional intensity of EGF and EGFR showed obvious difference before and after treatment. Which illustrate that Biyuan Heji gain a certain curative effect after suegery treatment, which has closed to even reached the level control group therapy.
