Background:Coronary heart disease is a common disease. Coronary atherosclerosis can lead to vascular stenosis, obstruction and spasm, which can result myocardial cell ischemia and hypoxia or necrosis. With the further study for atherosclerosis, oxidative stress injury on endothelial cell (VECs) plays an important role in pathological process of occurrence and development, which influence on prognosis of coronary artery disease. Lipid peroxidation (LPO) on endothelial cells was induced by the oxidative low density lipoprotein (oxLDL). LPO can cause endothelial cell abnormal proliferation and functional disorders, which initiate inflammation-fibrous hyperplasia reaction and form atherosclerotic plaque. With the development of vascular stenosis or occlusion, myocardial cells were in ischemia and hypoxia conditions, which will break balance between NO and ROS. Moreover, LPO will cause endothelial cell irreversible damage. Oxidative stress (OS) injury on the vessel wall cause to oxidative stress on endothelial cell injury in the vicious cycle. Through test of enzymes and related factors can evaluate injury and prognosis of endothelial cell function on oxidative stress. Most study about nitric oxide (NO), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were researched deeply among these important enzymes and related factors. NO, SOD, MDA are very important indexes, which can reflect the severity of oxidative stress indirectly in coronary heart disease. Many clinical experiments showed that the function of vascular endothelial cells was very important to prognosis of patients with coronary heart disease. Exploring the drug that alleviate the oxidative stress injury and improve endothelial cell function effectively is very important. Though western medicine has made great progress, the residual risk of cardiovascular events is up to22%. Recent researches show that Chinese medicine can effectively improve the oxidative stress. Among these researches, the study about Tongxinluo is more comprehensive. Through further research of Tongxinluo on vascular endothelial cells, our study discuss that its action mechanism in coronary heart disease patients. Objective:To observe the influence of Tongxinluo on endothelial cell function in patients with coronary heart disease.Methods:45patients were randomly divided into routine group and treatment group.22patients in routine group were treated with routine therapeutic drug.23patients in treatment group were treated with Tongxinluo capsule (4Particles/time,3times/day) based on routine therapeutic drug. Both treatments lasted for ten days. NO, SOD, MDA were tested on the first day before treatment and the tenth day after treatment.Result:Compared with those before treatment, concentration of serum NO and SOD in treatment group were significantly increased. However, concentration of serum MDA in treatment group was significantly decreased. All of the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with those before treatment, concentration of serum NO, SOD and MDA in routine group were no significant difference (P>0.05). But NO and SOD concentrations are on the rise trend, the MDA concentration has a downward trend. After treatment compared with routine group, concentration of serum NO and SOD in treatment group were significantly increased. But concentration of serum MDA in treatment group was significantly decreased. All of the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Tongxinluo may attenuate oxidative stress injury and improve endothelial cell function to some extent.
