Objective: To study the expression level of protein MTA1(metastasisassociated1)in human laryngocarcinoa,and analysis the relationshipbetween protein MTA1and laryngocarcinoa clinic pathologic features,analysis the correlation between protein MTA1and Matrixmetalloproteinase-9(MMP-9),MTA1and Vascular Endothelial GrowthFactor C(VEGF-C) in human laryngocarcinoa.Methods: The expression level of MTA1、MMP-9、VEGF-C proteinwas tested by western blot method in35specimens oflaryngocarcinoa(including laryngocarcinoa with lymph node metastasis andlaryngocarcinoa without lymph node metastasis)、para-carcinoma andnormal tissue.Result: The expressions level of MTA1、MMP-9、VEGF-C proteinwere higher in laryngocarcinoa with lymph node metastasis than thosewithout lymph node metastasis、para-carcinoma and normal tissue besidesthe tumor tissue(P<0.05). The MTA1、MMP-9protein expression levelswere significantly corelated with grade of differation of laryngocarcinoa、 lymphatic metastasis and laryngocarcinoa T stage (P<0.05).the correlationbetween expression level of the protein VEGF-C and laryngocarcinoa highT stage、laryngocarcinoa lymphatic metastasis was signficant (P<0.05),the correlation between expression level of the protein VEGF-C andlaryngocarcinoa’s grade of differation、patients’ age was not signficant。The correlation between MTA1and MMP-9,MTA1and VEGF-C weresignificantly (P<0.05).Conclusion:1、The expressions of MTA1protein were higher inlaryngeal cancer than those in normal tissue(P<0.05),and its expressionwas significantly corelated with age、grade of differation、high T stage andlymphatic metastasis, suggest that MTA1may play important roles intumorigeness and devwlopmnt of laryngocarcinoa.2.The expressions of MTA1were higher in laryngeal cancer withlymph node metastasis than those without lymph node metastasis,suggestthat MTA1play impotent role in laryngocarcinoa metastasis. Theexpression of MTA1protein in laryngocarcinoa is positive correlate withMMP-9、VEGF-C,suggest that there may have regulationship betweenMTA1and MMP-9、VEGF-C.
