Objective To discuss the risk factors, the distribution and drugresistance of multiple drug-resistant bacteria of stroke associatedpneumonia(SAP) in elderly patients with multiple drug-resistant bacterialinfections. Methods A retrospective study was designed to analyze the clinicaldata of elderly patients with SAP from June2007to June2011,1) RiskFactors: Comparison in incidence of SAP patients with multipledrug-resistant infection between different groups by chi squaretest.Multivariable regression analysis was used after univariate analysis.2)Etiological investigation:distribution of multiple drug-resistant bacteria, drug resistance of common multiple drug-resistant bacteria. Results Univariate analysis indicated that there was statisticaldifference between the two groups divided by type of stroke level ofconsciousness SAP type ward type receiving stomach Tube andprophylactic antibiotics.Multivariable regression analysis indicated that there was statistical significant in disturbance of consciousnessLate-Onset Pneumonia and ICU ward. There are182strains in154patients,including115multiple drug-resistant strains (P value were0.001,0.001,0.038). Among38multiple drug-resistant strains the first5strains wereAcinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiellapneumoniae,Hemolytic staphylococcus, Staphylococcus aureus. Conclusion SAP patients with multiple drug-resistant bacterialinfections is closed related to the following risk factors: disturbance ofconsciousness Late-Onset Pneumonia and ICU ward. The prevalence ofthe multiple drug-resistant bacteria was high. These multiple drug-resistantstrains were widely different degrees of resistance to many antibiotics.
