The humanistic qualities of nurses are important components of theoverall quality of the nurses, as well as one of the important symbols ofcomprehensive level of the nursing profession. To adapt to the currentreform of health care system and the development needs of medical andhealth services, and to further improve the humanistic qualities of nurses,this research has developed a questionnaire to discuss on the presenthumanistic qualities of nurses, and the main contents are as follows.Objective:1.By preparing a questionnaire on humanistic quality of nursing toevaluate and verify the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, andprovides tools for humanities survey of nurses.2.By evaluating humanistic quality level of nurses in grade-threegeneral hospitals in Chongqing, anglicizing the influence of humanisticqualities of nurses, this study offers scientific theoretical basis for themanagers to make decisions.Methods:1.To construct initial questionnaire in the foundation of literature research with the interview results from3nursing experts,2psychologicalexperts and1hospital management expert; to form a forecast questionnairewith56entries by letting25nurses to complete the initial questionnaire,inviting experts to evaluate and modify the questionnaire entries; to form thenurse humanities quality investigation questionnaire with50entries bypre-investigating on237nurses through project analysis and factor analysis,total deleting6entries; to evaluate the reliability and validity of thequestionnaire by investigating625nurses through project analysis, factoranalysis, reliability testing and other evaluations.2.To evaluate a total of994nurses in9Gread-three General hospitals inChongqing by using a evaluated questionnaire, make a statistical analysis ofdata obtained by using the SPSS13.0software, including general descriptivestatistical analysis, analysis of variance and regression analysis, tounderstand the different levels of humanistic quality of nurses and its maininfluencing factors.Result:1.Have build a questionnaire with a total of50entries which includessix dimensions: moral, legal, cultural, mental, aesthetic qualities and thequestion of lie. The differences of each entry and the correlation betweenscores and individual entries have reached significant (P<0.05), thecorrelation coefficient is greater than0.2; factor analysis results indicate thatthe structure of the questionnaire is reasonable. Cronbach ’ α of the total questionnaire is0.828, half reliability is0.746; Cronbach ’ α in variousdimensions is0.551~0.711, half reliability is0.561~0.736.2.Single-factor analysis of variance showed that different nursing,education, age, title, age, marital status, employment forms, administrativeduties of a Department of humanistic quality of nursing levels havesignificantly different (P<0.05). Except the culture quality dimension, thehumanities quality level of the group of nurses(age≥36) is higher than thegroup of age26~35and≤25; the humanities quality level of undergraduateand the above group is higher than other group; the humanities quality levelof nurses in nurse age≥10group is significantly higher; the humanisticquality level of nurses and nurse in charge is higher; the psychologicalquality levels of nurses in Department of pediatrics and EmergencyDepartment significantly is higher than nurses in other department; thehumanistic quality level of series nurse is higher than that of non-series nurse;the humanistic quality level of nurses with administrative duties is betterthan that with no administrative duties; the humanistic quality level ofmarried nurses is higher than that of unmarried.3. As a result of multiple regression analysis, the main influence factorsof humanistic quality are nursing age, administrative, employment forms,administrative offices and academic qualifications.Conclusions:1. The questionnaire of studying on the humanistic quality of nurses has a good validation, has achieved the psychometric standards, and it can be atool to assess the level of humanistic quality of nurses.2. Different characteristics of humanistic quality of nursing levels havesignificantly differences, and nursing age, employment forms,administrative duties, department, and education is the main factorsaffecting the level of humanistic quality of nurses, in addition to training andmanaging nurses, should take full account of the relevant factors anddevelop targeted education and training management.
