| Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Point Application on patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, including Clinnical syndromes,Physical examnation, Toronto clinical scoring system, Nerve conduction velocity and Hemorheology after using Point Application. Preliminarily. We also try to explore the mechanism of Point Application.Methods:60Patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy. that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups:One is the observed group containing30cases and the other is the control group of30cases. All the patients were strictly control blood sugar, blood pressure and blood lipids,and at the same time all the patients orally took Epalrestat tablet three times a day, each time take50mg.But the observed group also took Point Application,one time a day, each time last2hours. The whole treatment last2months. Then observe all the patients’clinical syndromes,physical examnation, Toronto clinical scoring systerm,Nerve conduction velocity and Hemorheology. Result:(1)Clinical comprehensive therapeutic effect:The total effective rate of the control group was70%, the details were that the therapy of control group recovered0case, markedly improved3cases, the only effective result was18cases,9cases showed invalid; In the observed group, The total effective rate was86.67%, recovered1case, markedly improved7cases, the only effective result was18cases,4cases showed invalid. Patients in the two groups were all improved than before. By rank sum test, The total effective rate in the observed group is better than the control group (P<0.05).It was proved that Point Application could benefit patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.(2) Traditional chinese medicine symptom effect:Before treatment, there was no great difference between the observed group and the control group about the Traditional chinese medicine syndromes (P>0.05).But after two months’ treatment, both the observed group and the control group’s Traditional chinese medicine syndromes were significantly deduced compared with before (P<0.05),especially the observed group. Compared the later results of two groups, we could find a significant difference between each other (P<0.05).It represented a good result of the Point Application.(3)Toronto clinical scoring system effect:We tried to collect the Toronto clinical scores of all the patients before the treatment and then compared them. The result had no great difference between the observed group and the control group (P>0.05), there is no statistical significance; After two months’ treatment, all the patients’score in both observed group and the control group were greatly decreased compared to the beginning (P<0.05). Then we compared the result of the observed group and the control group after treatment, it showed a great difference (P<0.05). Point Application is good for the patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.(4)Nerve conduction velocity:We tried to collect the Nerve conduction velocity of all the patients before the treatment and then compared them. The result had no great difference between the observed group and the control group (P>0.05), No statistical significance; After two months’treatment, all the patients’nerve conduction velocity in both observed group and the control group were improved more or less compared to the beginning (P<0.05). Then we compared the result of the observed group and the control group after treatment, it showed a great difference (P<0.05). Point Application could improve the Nerve conduction velocity of the patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.(5)Hemorheology effect:Compared the four factors of Hemorheology of the two groups there were no significant differences Before the treatment (P>0.05), No statistical significance; No significant change occurred in the control group after treatment, but we could see great change in the other group, the four factors changed more or less and had statistical significance (P<0.05).(6)Safety evaluation:No adverse reaction had occurred during the whole treatment of this test. Compared the beginning and the ending results of liver function, kidney function, blood analysis, urine analysis, stool examination, coagulation, and electrocardiogram there were no obvious difference. All the above showed that Point Application is safe and have no side effect. We can introduce it to all the patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.Conclusion:Point Application can greatly help patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy. Improve the Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptom and Clinical syndromes Nerve conduction velocity and Hemorheology, decrease Toronto clinical scoring system of the patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. In a word, it can bring patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy more benefit than simply using Epalrestat tablet. Besides Point Application is safe and have no side effect. We can introduce it to all the patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy. |
