The Observation Of Outcomes On Systematic Function Rehabilitation For Patients After Tibial Plateau Fracture Internal Fixation Operation

Objective:From the comparison of systematic function rehabilitation treatment and traditional rehabilitation treatment for the patients who got the tibial plateau fracture internal fixation operation, and it took them in following-up and reviewing. Investigating the significance of systematic function rehabilitation treatment for the function recovery of the patients who got the tibial plateau fracture operation, it will provide an adequate clinical evidence for guiding fracture patients to restore the function much earlier and maximum in the limb, reducing the incidence of knee dysfunction and improving the quality of life in patients.Methods:The patients who got tibial plateau fracture in the department of orthopedics in Hubei Province Zhongshan Hospital between December2009and December2010were grouped to carry out the postoperative rehabilitation. The objects were selected to basing on the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. All the patients who had be selected were randomly divided into two groups of systematic function rehabilitation group and autonomy traditional rehabilitation group and carried out rehabilitation. The patients of autonomy traditional rehabilitation group wound still carry out the rehabilitation according to the ways and means of traditional rehabilitation after operation. The patients of systematic function rehabilitation group wound carry out the systematic function rehabilitation program under the guidance of physician after operation. Taking consideration of the actual condition of the patients while it got them gradually carrying out the function training, what’s more,the means of physical therapy and traditional rehabilitation treatment were supplemented to promote function of the limb. The patients of two groups were followed-up and observed in comparison for one year. During this period, we wound record the specific contents and time about the rehabilitation exercises of the patients in two groups, evaluate the change of limb function in patients according to the HSS scoring system about knee joint. We wound shoot the later X-ray film about knee joint, record the complications and so on when we followed-up the patients. Then we analyzed the knee joint function data which was statistics in3months,6months,12months when the patients of two groups got the tibial plateau fracture operation. It was contrasted by the rehabilitation programs of the two groups for finding that if there were some differences in promoting the function recovery of fracture limb after operation, and analyzed the related causes.Result:There were91persons who participated in the comparative study about function rehabilitation in tibial plateau fracture after internal fixation operation between December2009and December2010. There were49persons in systematic function rehabilitation group and42persons in autonomy traditional rehabilitation group. The knee joint function of two groups was compared in3months,6months, and12months after operation. The statistical analysis showed that the excellent rate of the systematic function rehabilitation group was59.5%,76.2%,88.1%more significantly increasing than the autonomy traditional rehabilitation group was28.6%,55.1%,71.4%(P <0.05). The systematic function rehabilitation group was much better than autonomy traditional rehabilitation group in the recovery time and progress of knee joint, and it could make the patients get much earlier and the greatest benefit in function rehabilitation. But there was one case which had the hollow compression screw fractured in systematic function rehabilitation group in the contrast observation, and removed the screws at last. The two groups were not found the complications such as fracture healing, postoperative infection and so on.Conclusion:Systematic function rehabilitation for patients after tibial plateau fracture internal fixation operation can significantly improve limb function, enlarge the range of the knee joint, improve the stability in walking and living ability. According to the general condition of patients, under the premise of without affecting fracture healing, as early as it can be to take the system function exercise, timely adjusting the functional rehabilitation program, meeting the targeted physical therapy and traditional rehabilitation treatment, it can effectively reduce the problems of the rehabilitation process such as pain, muscle tension and so on, improve the efficiency of rehabilitation, promote the rehabilitation program to advance stably and restore the limb function earlier and maximize. What’s more, systematic function rehabilitation can also promote fracture healing early, improve the quality of fracture healing, and reduce the incidence of traumatic osteoarthritis.
