Objective: To investigate relationship between arterial stiffness, urine microalbuminand the damage of target organ in the patients with essential hypertension. Methods: Ourstudy population consisted of411cases of essential hypertensive patients(225Male,186Female;123Uygur and288Hans,the average age of46.35±10.67years old). The patientswere subdivided into2groups based on baPWV results:183Normal group (baPWV<1400cm/s),228Abnormal group (baPWV>1400cm/s),To analyze the index of age,,24-hour urinary albumin, carotid arteryintima-media thickness, creatinine, urea nitrogen, blood fat, blood glucose, plasma aldosterone and the degrees of the damage of targetorgan in these groups. To analyze the correlation factor of baPWV with statistical method.Results:(1)age,24h urine microalbumin, carotid intima media thickness, and plasmaaldosterone were higher in both the Uygur and Hans Abnormal than in Normal.(2)Theincidence of Carotid artery, heart, brain vascular target organ damage were higher in boththe Uygur and Hans Abnormal than in Normal, The incidence of Carotid artery, heart, brain vascular target organ damage were higher in the Uygur than Hans in Abnormal.(3)Correlation analysis showed that the both Uygur and Hans baPWV were positivelycorrelated with age,24h urine microalbumin, carotid intima media thickness and plasmaaldosterone(p<0.05).(4)Logisticreg ression analysis showed that the both Uygur andHans baPWV were associated with24h urine microalbumin, carotid intima mediathickness, and plasma aldosterone(p<0.05). Conclusion: there is show that the Theincidence of the damage of target organ in essential hypertension patients with increasedarterial stiffness is higher than pure essentialhy pertension.24h urine microalbumin, carotid intima media thickness, and plasma aldosterone were common risk factors for arterial stiffness of the both Uygur and Hans patients with essential hypertension.
