The Relationship Between Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Constitution Types And CRP,Fib,ACT Score And Pulmonary Function Of Asthmatic Patients

Objectives:To research the distribution of TCM constitution types of asthmatic patients, to analyze the relationship among TCM constitution types, ages and the asthma course of asthmatic patients, to compare the CRP, Fib, ACT score and pulmonary function between Yang-deficiency and non-Yang-deficiency asthmatic patients in chronic persistent period, and to discuss the role of Yang-deficiency in TCM mechanism.Methods:Collecting asthma cases on the basis of the Classification and Diagnosis Standards of TCM Constitution and the western medicine diagnosis standards of the bronchus asthma, and then the relationship among TCM constitution types, ages and asthma course of the asthmatic patients will be analysed. After that,50Yang-deficiency and50non-Yang-deficiency asthmatic patients were chosen according to related diagnosis standard, and30healthy peoples were act as control group. CRP and Fib were examined in all cases. Pulmonary function tests(including FEV1、FEV1/FVC、FEF25%、FEF50%、FEF75%, MMEF) were examined in all asthmatic patients, and ACT score will be used to assess the control situation after cure for three month.Results:(1) The result shows that the most quantity of TCM constitution in bronchial asthma patients is Intrinsic Quality, and then is Yang-deficiency.(2) Intrinsic Quality reveals positive correlation with patients age increase and asthma course progress, while Yang-deficiency is just the opposite.(3) CRP level of asthmatic patients in chronic persistent period was higher than control group, and CRP level of Yang-deficiency group was lower than non-Yang-deficiency group.(4) Fib level of asthmatic patients in chronic persistent period was higher than control group, and Fib level of Yang-deficiency group was higher than non-Yang-deficiency group.(5)The difference of ACT score between Yang-deficiency group and non-Yang-deficiency group, the difference was prominent. When P<0.01, the un-control cases account for 74-78%in Yang-deficiency group, while the proportion in non-Yang-deficiency group is92-96%.(6) FEV1、FEV1/FVC and FEF25%of either Yang-deficiency group or non-Yang-deficiency group were within the normal range, and FEF50%、FEF75%and MMEF of both group were lower than the normal score. FEF50%、FEF75%、MMEF of Yang-deficiency group were obviously lower than non-Yang-deficiency group.Conclusion:The most quantity of TCM constitution in bronchial asthma patients is Intrinsic Quality, and then is Yang-deficiency. Yang-deficiency shows negative correlation with patients age increase and asthma course progress.Yang-deficiency plays an important role in TCM mechanism of bronchial asthma. Yan-deficiency is related with lower CRP, higher Fib, lower control situation and lower small airway function.
