The Applied Research Of Patent Strategy In Technological Innovation Of China’s Medical Device Industry

Knowledge is dominating in21st century. Science andtechnology are more important for economy of the world. Enterprisesshould be more creative and seek their own competitive strength, if theycan compete with their compeers. The industry of medical appliance ishigh-tech, so there should be more strategy of intellectual property rights.Because synthesized competitiveness is affected by intellectual propertyrights. And stratagem of patent is a component of stratagem of intellectualproperty rights.Creation of technology is basic for patent strategy, and it isnecessary. It is benefit for creating more important patents. Meantime,patent strategy is useful for innovation of technology. There is a system, which is composed by stratagem of patent and creation of technology. So,there is a value chain of innovation. More and more enterprises study thepractice of patent strategy.The industry of medical appliance, which is promoted bygovernment, has a good future, and is a high-tech industry. In order topromoting innovation of technology and reducing the risk, we focus inthe "three phase" and innovation of medical appliance. Then we study thefactors of innovation of technology of medical appliance, and create anew model for innovation of technology. According to the SWOT andpatent analysis of our medical device industry, the techno-innovation of Bultrasound machine of Mindray, and the experiences of Japan andAmerica. We get a new techno-innovation mode for our medical deviceindustry, which contains imitative innovations. The patent strategy can beconsisted of follow-type strategy, development-alliance strategy, patentand technical standard strategy, patent-network strategy and directintroduced patent strategy. We hope the study can be useful fortechno-innovation strategy made by medical device enterprises.
