Objective:Through50cases of Exfoliative Cheilitis that applied with " yellow-white licorice decoction" or "erythromycin ointment" topical therapy in order to study and evaluate the efficacy, safety and recurrence of the yellow-white licorice decoction in treatment of exfoliative Cheilitis with Syndrome of Spleen Deficiency and Blood Dryness. Methods:Take the patients of the50cases that was chosen of Exfoliative Cheilitis with Syndrome of Spleen Deficiency and Blood Dryness, randomly divided them into treatment group (25cases) and control groups (25cases). Using yellow licorice decoction on the treatment group and topical erythromycin ointment in the control group for a week or two as one course of treatment, continue the treatment for3courses.1month later do a follow-up to observe these2groups and do comparative analysis of clinical therapeutic efficacy, relapse.Result The recovery rate of the treatment group is44.00%,the total effective rate is96.00%.The recovery rate of the control group is12.00%,the total effective rate is60.00%.The total effective rates of the two groups have significant differences (P<0.01). Neither of the two groups occurred adverse reactions. Within one month after the treatment, the recurrence rate of the treatment group is18.18%, the control group is100%, which have significant statistical rate. Conclusion:Our study showed, using yellow-white licorice decoction on the treatment of exfoliative Cheilitis is quite effective with less side-effect,lower relapse rate and worth for further clinical study.
