Objective:This issue through the use of lymphatic-specific marker D2-40antibody on the tumortissue to mark lymphatic count and determination of tumor tissue was micro-lymphaticvessel density (microlymphatic density, MLD),To detect the expressive levels ofthymidine phosphorylase (TP) and D2-40in colon cancer and the normal tissues near thetumor;to investigate the characteristics of distribution and density of lymphatic vessel andthe correlation with its clinicopathological factors in colon cancer;to analyze the clinicalvalue of TP and MLD in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of colon cancer.Methods:40cases of tumor tissue embedded in paraffin with clinical data and follow-up resultswere collected from the patients who received operation for colon cancer in Tai an CentralHospital between2010and2011.All the cases were not treated with chemotherapy orradiotherapy in preoperative management. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect theexpressions of thymidine phosphorylase and D2-40. To analyze the expressions of TP andMLD in clinicopathological characteristics of colon cancer. Results:Immune histochemistry shows that TP mainly expresses in cell syrup, the syrup inpositive cells is brown in color. The expressiverate of TP in colon cancer and the normaltissue adjacent cancer had significant difference,respectively(P<0.05). The TP expressionwas significantly associated with lymph node metastasis、differentiate degree and regionalinvasion, but not associated with age at surgery、gender、tumor size. D2-40expresses in thelympgatic vessel is positive and brown in color. The expressiverate of D2-40in coloncancer and the normal tissue adjacent cancer had significant difference,respectively(P<0.05).The MLD expression was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis、 differentiate degree and regional invasion, but not associated with age at surgery、gender、tumor size. MLD was higher in TP positive staining group than that in its negative staininggroup(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The increase of expression of TP in colon cancer they were closely related to colonconcer differentiated degree, infiltration and metastasis. It showed that TP were probably aselective marker of generation、infiltration and metastasis in the colon cancer, for therewere a high expression in colon cancer2.The mean of MLD in the colon cancer tissues higher than in the normal colontissues, and it was closely elated to the pathological grading、infiltration and metastasis ofcolon cancer. MLD could be an important marker to appraise the potential of etastasis inthe colon cancer.3.The expression of TP and MLD presented a positive correlation. It cued that TPwould romote the growth of tumorous lymph vessel.
