[Aims]ApolipoproteinA-1mimetic peptides have shown to have anti-inflammatory, ant-ioxidiant and antiatherogenic effects.we use common carotid artery ligated C57BL/6J mouse model, to explore the effects of different ApoA-1mimetic peptides on neointi-ma formation of carotid artery ligation(CAL) mouse.[Methods]The right common carotid artery of C57BL/6J mice were ligated proximal to the bifurcation. The C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided to control group (treatment of saline100μl·d-1n=14), D-4F group (treatment of D-4F;50μg·d-1;ip n=13), Rev-D4F low dose group (treatment of Rev-D4F;50μg·d-1; ip n=13) and Rev-D4F high dose group (treatment of Rev-D4F;250μg·d-1;ip n=12). The body weight of mice were weight before experiments and after treatment, the levels of TG,TC,HDL-C and LDL-C were analyzed. The extent of neointima formation was estimated using Ver-hoeff’s elastin stain. The extent of inflammatory cell infiltrate were measured by immunohi-stochemistry analyses.[Results]D-4F and Rev-D4F have no effects on weight of mice (P>0.05).The levels of TG,TC,HDL-C and LDL-C in D-4F group and Rev-D4F group have no significant difference compared with control group (P>0.05). D-4F and Rev-D4F decreased neointima formation of CAL mice (P<0.05, P<0.01).D-4F and Rev-D4F decreased neutrophilic granulocyte and macrophages infiltrate (P<0.01).[Conclusions] ApolipoproteinA-1mimetic peptide D-4F and Rev-D4F decreased neointima formation and alleviated inflammatory cell infiltrate but have no effects on the levels of TG,TC,HDL-C, LDL-C and the weight of mice.
