Objective:To explore the medication regularity of professor Ruan Shiwei in treating chronic glomerulonephritis(CGN) by the theory of the seasonal variation and analyse its clinical effect, observe clinical symptoms, signs and related laboratory results, then provide the evidence of better Treatment Protocols for patients with chronic glomerulonephritis.Methods:266patients with chronic glomerulonephritis were enrolled with the diagnose criterion of CGN, then divide them into treatment group (133cases:29patients in spring type,35patients in summer type,30patients in autumn type,39patients in winter type) and control group (133cases:32patients in spring type,36patients in summer type,30patients in autumn type,35patients in winter type). The treatment group was treated with western medicine and Chinese medicine which were based on the theory of the seasonal variation, and the control group were treated with western medicine and Chinese medicine which were based on the theory of body symptom differentiation. Changes of symptoms, signs and related laboratory parameters were observed before and after treatment.Result:The total effective rate of spring type, summer type, autumn type and winter type in the treatment group were86.20%,91.42%,86.66%and87.18%while that in the control were71.88%,80.56%,73.33%,71.43%, the difference between two groups was significant (P<0.05), the treatment group was higher than the control. Post-treatment, the clinical syndrome integral of the two groups was different with prior treatment (P<0.01), and there was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.01), the treatment group was better than the control group. The usea nitrogen, serum creatinine, hemoglobin, urine red blood cells and24hour urinary protein quantitative of the two groups were all improved after treatment (P<0.01), and there was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group (P<0.01or P<0.05), the treatment group was better than the control group.ConcIusion:The effect of treatment according to seasonal variation was good at improving the patients clinical symptoms and controlling related laboratory parameters.
