Objective:To investigate the application of the elastic ultrasonic strain rate indiagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid tumors.Methods:253patients were randomly selected from March to December in2012and totally289thyroid nodules elasticity ultrasound strain rate wereanalyzed.Based on postoperative paraffin pathological, thyroid noduleswere divided into groups of nodular goiter group, papillary thyroid microcarcinoma group, papillary thyroid carcinoma group, thyroid carcinomawith thyroiditis group, and postoperative pathology confirmed the simplegoiter group was set as a normal control group.The elastic ultrasonic wasused to obtain elastic strain rate ratio, then we summed up the relevantelastic strain rate ratio critical point.Results:According to the ROC curve, the best diagnostic critical point ofpapillary thyroid micro carcinoma group was2.04, when the diagnosticsensitivity, false positive rate and specificity were70.8%,35.1%,64.9%.The best diagnostic critical point of papillary thyroid carcinomagroup was3.30, when the diagnostic sensitivity, false positive rate andspecificity were51.6%,10.5%,89.5%.The best diagnostic critical pointof thyroid cancer with thyroiditis group was1.71, when diagnostic sensitivity, false positive rate and specificity were75.0%,51.8%,48.2%.The best diagnostic critical point of nodular goiter group was1.005, whenthe diagnostic sensitivity, false positive rate and specificity were77.8%,0,100%. Confirmed by the chi-square text,using flexibility ultrasoundstrain-rate ratio,the papillary thyroid micro carcinoma group andpapillary thyroid carcinoma group were judged statistically differentcompared with control group(P<0.05). No significant difference wasfound between thyroid carcinoma with thyroiditis group and the controlgroup(P>0.05).Confirmed by ROC curve,the best diagnostic criticalpoint of the nodular goiter group was1.005, showing up no validdifference compared with the control group with a critical point of1.00,indicating no diagnostic value in thyroid nodular goiter.Conclusion: The elasticity ultrasound strain rate ratio is a good indicatorin evaluating papillary thyroid micro carcinoma and papillary thyroidcarcinoma. But for nodular goiter and thyroid carcinoma withthyroiditis,the evaluation gives no exact basis.
