Objective: To evaluate the correlation between ovarian epithelialcancer and thrombocytosis, and the clinical significance ofthrombocytosis. Methods: Continuously extracted48patients with early epithelialovarian cancer,78patients with advanced epithelial ovarian canceradmitted by the First Hospital of Jilin University from January2004toDecember2012,which were considered as the object of study;80patients with benign ovarian epithelial tumors were considered as thecontrol group. Took preoperative and postoperative morning fasting bloodof patients and tested PLT count and CA125, combined with a variety ofother clinical datas for statistical analysis. Results: The mean PLT count was273.82±67.60(×109/L) in theEarly epithelial ovarian cancer group,329.96±106.56(×109/L) in theAdvanced epithelial ovarian cancer group, and236.48±61.19(×109/L) inthe Control group. The difference between the Early epithelial ovariancancer and the Advanced ovarian epithelial carcinoma group wassignificant (P=0.037<0.05).The increased platelet count incidence of theAdvanced epithelial ovarian cancer, the Early epithelial ovarian cancerand the benign ovarian epithelial tumor group had a significant difference(P <0.05).Different pathological types and PLT count of the Early epithelial ovarian cancer was no correlation (P>0.05).Differentpathological types and PLT count of the Advanced epithelial ovariancancer had a significant difference (P<0.05).There was a significantpositive correlation between PLT count and CA125of the Early epithelialovarian cancer (P<0.05),PLT count and CA125in the Advanced epithelialovarian cancer had a significant correlation (P<0.05).The preoperativeand postoperative PLT count of the Early epithelial ovarian cancerpatients had not statistically significant (P>0.05),the preoperative andpostoperative PLT count of the Advanced epithelial ovarian cancerpatients had a significant difference (P <0.05).Conclusion: The epithelial ovarian cancer is associated with theincreased number of PLT, the Platelet count in advanced patients (FIGOstage III, stage IV) is significantly higher than that in early patients(FIGOstage I, stage II).The incidence of thrombocytosis in the Advancedovarian cancer is higher than that in the Early epithelial ovarian cancer, the incidence of thrombocytosis in the Early epithelial ovarian cancer ishigher than that in the ovarian benign epithelial tumors. Differentpathological types and platelet count of advanced epithelial ovariancancer has more significant difference (P<0.05).The increased number ofPLT is associated with increased serum CA125in the Advanced ovariancancer and the Early epithelial ovarian cancer. The PLT count of theAdvanced epithelial ovarian cancer after surgery reduces. The determination of PLT count has a certain sense for Screening and earlydetection of ovarian malignancy, and has a certain significance forcondition assessment of ovarian cancer patients.
