Objective: To discuss the clinical application value of the union of18F-FDG PET/CTand EBV-DNA in diagnosing the recurrent NPC.Methods:260patients of NPC in follow-up visit were studied with EBV-DNA、18F-FDG PET/CT. There are72of the recurrent NPC patient and173of no recurrence andloss to follow-up with15patient.The union of18F-FDG PET/CT and EBV-DNA as Agroup,The independent examination of18F-FDG PET/CT as B group and the independentexamination of EBV-DNA as C group.Analysis their sensitivity specificity and accuracy. To analysis the relationship of the clinical stages and SUV of the recurrent NPC. Detectionthe density of EBV-DNA through the PCR. Analysis the relationship of the positive rate ofEBV-DNA and18F-FDG PET/CT through Spearman test..Results:The accuracy rating of the union of18F-FDG PET/CT and EBV-DNA(97.8%) was better than that of18F-FDG PET/CT alone (89.9%) and EBV-DNA alone83.1%).There were significant difference between A and B groups. There were significant difference between A and C groups. There was no statistics significant between Band C groups. The positive rate of18F-FDG PET/CT and EBV-DNA titer levels exist relationship. It is existing relationship of the SUV and N stages and it is no relationship of the clinical stage, pathology type, differentiated degree,T and N stages.Conclusion:18F-FDG PET/CT is a reliable inspection method in the dignosis of recurrent NPC.There are also some false positive and false negative.EBV-DNA screening was a sensitive index in scanning the recurrent NPCand has some completement value in the dignosis of recurrent NPC.The union of18F-FDG PET/CT andEBV-DNA examination were the best methods in dignosising the recurrent NPC.
