Objective To investigate the correlation between different tube current, slice thickness, injection dose, injection flow rate and image quality in128spiral CT lower extremity arterial angiography to detennine the best scanning program. Materials and Methods A total of60patients in lower extremity arterial angiography. The control groups (5groups,50cases,83.3%, other parameters are fixed) and optimized group (10cases,16.7%). Control groups include:high milliampere group of (400mA,10cases,16.7%), low milliampere group (200mA,10cases,16.7%), large thickness group (5mm,10cases of16.7%),multi-contrast agent group (30ml,10patients,16.7%), a high injection flow rate group (4.5ml/s,10patients,16.7%).Recording all patient scan delay time, measurement of the level of the abdominal aorta, shares the depth of the level of arterial points difference, before and after tibial artery segment level, the level of CT values of the dorsalis pedis artery. Evaluate the image quality of the distribution of each group, compared with optimized group.Result Comparative the quality of scanned images between optimized group and the respective control groups. The level of the quality images was better in the optimized group respectively compared to the low mA group and large thickness group(P <0.05),but no significant difference in optimized group respectively compared to high mA group, multi-contrast agent group and the high injection flow rate group (P>0.05). Conclusion Optimization group (tube current of300mA, thickness0.625mm, the injection flow rate of4ml/s, the injected dose100ml) has excellent image quality, which reached diagnostic criterion in MSCT lower extremity arterial imaging.
