The Clinical Observation Of TCM Treatment In Liver And Kidney Yin Deficiency Of Diminished Ovarian Reserve And Premature Ovarian Failure

[Objective]Diminished Ovarian Reserve is a condition when woman, between the ages of16to40,hav e low fertility characterized by a low number of remaining oocytes in the ovaries or low quali ty of oocyte by several reasons. If there is no serious treatment, it could be developed into Pre mature ovarian Failure (POF) within1to6years.POF is a condition defined by amehorrhea, withered sexual organs, with abnormally high level of FSH and low level of E2of a woman b efore the age of40with normal age of menarche or delayed puberty and a fully developed se condary sexual character.DOR and POF not only affect the fertility of a woman but also affec t a woman’s mental and entire body health. The aim of this study is to observe the remedical value of tonifying liver and kidney, supplementing essence and blood method, to treat DOR and POF patients with liver and kidney yin deficiency. Through observing the results of menstruation, Chinese symptoms, and hormones, prior to and after treatment, the study showed high level of treatment effect through tonifying liver and kidney, supplementing essence and blood method. In addition to the treatment structure, this study is to research the importance of preventive medicine or preventive care.[Methods]1. Study of literature:By referring classic literatures and Chinese and foreign journals in5years period, summarizing the cause, mechanism and treatment method of DOR and POF based on TCM, following by the review on the western medicine on etiology, pathology, current treatment method, and evaluation on methods used in determining ovarian reverse.2. Clinical Study:Selected cases were from March2012to April2013in China Academy of Chinese Medical Science XIYUAN Hospital. A total of34cases,21cases of Diminished o varian Reserve and13cases of Premature Ovarian Failure with liver and kidney yin deficienc y. All patients were treated with tonifying liver and kidney, supplementing essence and blood method, using zhibuiban. shudi. nvzhenzi. hanliancao, tusizi, ziheche, danggui, danshe, sharen.With one prescription a day, separatedinto two dosages of day and night, during3cycl es, changes of menstruation. Chinese symptoms and basic Follicle Stimulating Hormone (bF SH). basic Luteinizing Hormone (bl.H), basic Estradiol (bE2) and FSH/LH ratio before and a fter treatment. [Results]1.In the integarated effect:Treat34cases of DOR,POF3menstrual period,6cases recovere d,7cases marked effective,15cases effective,6cases noneffective, the total effective rate was82.35%.2. Change of menstruation:Compared with pre-treatment, after treatment the score of patie nt’menstruation decreased considerably.(P＜0.05)3. Change of TCM syndrome:Compared with pre-treatment, after treatment the score of patie nt’s symptom decreased considerably.(P＜0.05)4. Change of Serum reproductive endocrine hormones:Compare with pre-treatment, patie nt’s bFSH, bLH, bFSH/bLH ratio significantly decreased, E2significantly elevated after treat ment.(P＜0.05)[Conclusion]Tonifying liver and kidney, supplementing essence and blood therapy can significantly con trol menstruation of DOR and POF patient, and can improve the symptoms, such as vasomoto r instability, vaginal dryness, sleeplessness, also have effect on regulating level of bFSH, bL H, elevate E2level. It is one of the efficacious treatment for improving Ovarian Reverse.
