ObjectiveTo explore the effect of biomembrane in membrane perforation of maxillary sinus.MethodsSix BLB dental implants were implanted in3health adult mongrel dogs; all the sinuses were augmented with mixed autologous bone态artificial bone particles (hydroxyapatite) and simultaneous implant placement.6BLB dental implants were divided into2groups. Control group:The maxillary sinus membrane were broken without treatment. Experimental group:The maxillary sinus membrane were broken and implanted with biomembrane. Three months later, dogs were sacrificed. CT and histology examination were used to evaluate the effect of biomembrane in sinus membrane perforation.ResultsOne implant failed in control group, and sanies overflow from sinus cavity. At3months, the length of the implant exposed to the sinus increased both in the experimental group and control group, but there was no significant difference between them (P>0.05). HE staining shows that the sinus membrane in both groups was thickened, and ciliated cell disappeared.ConclusionsWhen sinus membrane perforation occurs, biological membrane has no obvious positive effect on the preservation of osteogenesis in bone grafts.
