Clinical Analysis And Comparison Between Two Double Eyelid Plasty

Objectibe: To study the clinical application of blepharoplasty using a palpebralmargin incision, comparision with that using a routine incision.Methods:30cases underwent double eyelid plasty of palpebral margin incision.And30cases underwent double eyelid plasty of routine incision. After six toseventeen months follow-up, satisfaction rates of the two groups were compared bystatistical analysis.Results: The operations of the two groups were both done successfully. Nostatistical significant difference on the total satisfaction rates between the twogroups(93.3%vs96.7%, P=1.000>0.05). No statistical significant difference on thegreat satisfaction rates between the two groups(66.7%vs73.3%, P=0.573>0.05).Conclusion: Routine incision blepharoplasty is one of the most commonblephroplasties,which is stable and reliable in clincal effects and of high satisfactionrate.The clinical research indicated that the palpebral margin incision blepharoplastywas also as stable and reliable as routine incision blepharoplasty which could beapplied in clinial,by comparison of the total satisfaction rates of the two groups afteroperations with the result of no statistical significance. By comparison of the greatsatisfaction rates, there was no satistical significance. Directly, the palpebral marginincision blepharoplasty group had the trend of higher than the routine incisionblepharoplasty group in the great satisfaction rate which was73.3%in former, and66.7%in latter. However, for the small base of the clinial research, the significantdifference could not be made. Palpebral margin incision blepharoplasty with thecharacteristic of invisible scars made blepharoplasty a big step forward to moreprefect. This method had the advantages of methods of incision and embedding andavoided the disadvantages of the two methods. Patients were satisfied because of that it made the double eyelid solid, reliable, sustained and made scars invisible. As a safeand reliable method with broad scope in indications, palpebral margin incisionblepharoplasty could be a prior introduce to patient under the same condition.
