This text, on the basis of interrelated research, wants to do some discussion on “Be A-er”. Itexerts comparative analytic way and semantic diagnostic analytic way and other correlativetheory to do some delineation to its basic meanings and exceptive meanings. Except this, thistext also tries to do certain interpretation of its exceptive meanings.First of all, it abstracts the basic meanings of the format on the basis of the analysis of “BeA-er” and its components. After that, it also characterizes the semantic character of the adjectivein the format.Secondly, it sums up the exceptive meanings of the format, its unconventionality usage, onthe basis of amounts of the first-hand material of current Chinese, it also characterizes thesemantic character of the adjective in the format in this condition. Do some researches on therestricted factor in syntax and pragmatics when the format convey its unconventionality usageand make an conclusion, that is the format only can appear in the location of predicate andcomplement in imperatival sentence and question when the format convey its unconventionalityusage, and also it still can not be correctly understand without certain assistant of lingualcircumstance in some condition. It also does research and discussion on relative questions whenthe format convey its unconventionality usage.Thirdly, it compares the two conditions when “Be A-er” conveys different meanings, itpoints out that the two format have some difference in some aspects, such as semantic base,presupposed meanings, accent and so on. It tries to construct a rough venation of thedevelopment of the format from its basic meanings to its exceptive meanings started with thedifference of the adjective in two conditions. Then it explains the reason of the appearance of theexceptive meanings of the format, and sums up the pragmatics peculiarity of “Be A-er” when itconveys its exceptive meanings.
