Firstly, thearticle sums up the study of “Mountain air” in the academia, and shows the actuality ofthe research and analysis about “Mountain air”. Secondly, this part shows the researchmeaning of “Mountain air” from the tribe of literary history, ethnology and philosophyperspective. At last, this part introduces the main contents of this article briefly.There are three chapters of the text of the thesis. The people like Tibetan sorcerer Duoji and rural intellectual Dase are the guardians of national culture, they inherit thetraditional culture, and uphold the intellectuals’ spiritual position. The youngergeneration of Tibetans, such as militia lieutenant Suobo, female singer Semo,demobilized soldier Dage and high school student Lajiazeli, are the secular strays,respectively losing their beliefs in the pursuit of political power, career, love and money,however most of them find themselves back slowly in the life, achieve theirredemption of humanity. Director of the police station Lao Wei, the village Secretaryhunchback Lin and the camel carpenter who are Han people living in Tibet, they arethe intruders, they are the symbol of the collision between mainstream culture and folkculture, and the symbol of the impact between Han culture and Tibetan culture.The third chapter sums up the art characteristics of “Mountain air”, and showssome innovations of this novel in the art. There are three main art characteristics of“Mountain air” as varieties of narrative, distinctive structure and strong nationalcolor. Varieties of narrative includes flexible angles of the narrative, diversificationof the expression and the using of modern symbolism. Distinctive structure includesthe petal structure, the circulation structure and symmetric structure of the novel, thesethree kinds of the structure are the main artistic innovations in the novel.
