On The Theme Of "Nature" In Alai's Novels

Alai, who got a remarkable achievement on novel, is a unique writer on contemporary Chinese literature. He is good at capturing the spirit of nature, expressing the meaning of life. This paper is based on close reading of the text, utilizing literary-cultural criticism model, centering on the interaction between literature and culture, making various analysis on the theme of "nature" in Alai's novels.The paper first makes definition and instructions on the research object, illustrating its significance and value, then divides into four parts:in the first part, through the analysis of concrete text to see Alai "nature" themed narration, which presents the ideal state of mutual dependence and harmonious coexistence between man and nature, related with his childhood life and education to point out that "nature" theme in Alai novels comes from his unique experience and hometown complex becomes the original resource of his writing. In the second part, analyzing the mysterious notion that everything has a soul and the dense religious color embodied in his novels, which shows the devotion and respect of writer's attitude to nature, even with inviolable seriousness. In the third part, emphasizing the nature in real world, man's transformation to nature caused his attention, so he reveals the divinity of deconstruction and human dissimilation with critical attitude, including the controversy of ambivert caused the swing of value, culture is imbalanced by the impact of outside world, in this debacle shows the irresistible fate and writer's confusion to reality. In forth part, analyzing the nature in his novels is unified with his individual spirit from the level of "nature" theme to Alai's novel, showing that Alai's ideal is the isomorphism of natural and spiritual homeland, which presents writer's spacious artistic vision.This paper attempts to talk over Alai's novels from a perspective of "nature", at which aims the analysis of nationality, regionalism and cultural psychology, discussing the meaning and value of traditional resources to Alai'creation.
