Three Gorges folk song has a long history and strong regional characteristics, isChina’s intangible cultural inheritance important part. Regional print is established inthe regional culture background, reflecting the local society, local customs and practicesof the print creation. Three Gorges and regional print creation of homologous to thespirit of Chinese national culture is both produce the inevitable relationship of realityand historical logic. In this study of fine arts as a platform, pay attention to ThreeGorges unique cultural characteristics and artistic characteristics of comprehensiveresearch, the Three Gorges and regional print creation origin, evolution, content,characteristics, transmission mode and the functional aspects of transverse, longitudinalanalogy. Secondly, in the Three Gorges folkcultural connotation as the support, folk expression for converting image style, folk richabundant emotions, vivid description style, simplicity of life experience, popular andhumorous expression, unique cultural characteristics into the print creation, for themodern woodcut creation reflection on dimensions and innovation is possible.
