Samuel Huntington thought, after the Cold War, the determinants of performanceof the world situation is no longer a military dispute, and he divided the world’s valuesystem for seven or eight major civilizations. With the collapse of the Soviet Unionafter1991, the conflict in the world by the ideology shifted to cultural aspects, namelythe famous "clash of civilizations" theory. All countries put the construction of its softpower on the agenda. The soft power refers to the culture strength; it is different fromthe hard power such as political, economic, and military strength. Soft power sounds“soft", but the presence of it has a non-penetration to the general public."Enhancenational cultural soft power" has become an important part of Chinese culturalconstruction and the harmonious strategic thought.This paper will research on the International Communication of ChineseTraditional Culture and study the cultural exchanges in the context of globalization, theintegration of friction and conflict, and explore the history of the human foreignlanguage and culture spread, recalling the history of West over the past400years offoreign language cultural transmission, the history of Chinese language and culturespread around the world, as well as the interpretation of Western missionaries spread oflanguage and culture to China, at the same time, analysis the symbol of China’s softpower "Confucius Institute" in-depth content analysis.This paper will study the history of the spread of China’s language and culture,review the history of the past400years of Western language and culture spread intoChina. At the same time, to interpret the activities of Western missionaries in China.Iwill combine the teaching of foreign language symbols of traditional Chinese culture tosupport the possibility of teaching Chinese culture, and then summarize and draw on aneffective way to the teaching of Chinese culture. Finally, I will do a case study of“Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages”, grade2010, ChongqingUniversity. Finally, based on the integrated overall study, summed up and concluded theteaching method for teaching Chinese culture to international student.
