| Chinese verb resultative construction is one of distinctive syntacticstructures. Academic circles devote themselves to Chinese VRC’s historical origin,grammaticalization, semantic relations and syntactic nature. Based on the previousresearches, this paper focuses on VRC’s semantics and applies conceptual integration,conceptual structures on its semantics.This paper contains six chapters. Chapter one introduces Chinese VRC’sresearch summary, then puts forward this paper’s research scope and theoretical basis.Chapter two mainly discusses the causes of Chinese VRC in three aspects. Chapterthree applies semantic orientation to discuss Chinese VRC’s semantic relations.Chapter four applies conceptual integration to analyze how emergent meaning ofVRC is produced. Chapter five applies conceptual structures to analyze different typesof VRC’s different distributions in related sentence patterns. |
