Dongjiang River Valley, possessing the largest number of cultural relics betweenmiddle Neolithic age to Zhou Dynasty, is one of important part of Linnan area.Cultural relics were created by the ancients who adapted the ecological environmentefficiently. Different environment makes different culture.The paper, largely based on abundant Archaeological materials, also coveredtheories and achievements of Geology, Ecology,Cultural Anthropology. In order todiscuss cultural traits, the paper rebuilt the means of livelihood of different ancients inthe area, by analyzing different ecological environments.Through further analysis on connotation of different culture relics, the paperexplained the process of Dongjiang civilization. Meanwhile, Dongjiang’s processplayed an important role in that of Linnan civilization.
