Traditional Chinese painting has formed a complete set of ink paradigm throughstylization and perfection after thousands of years of development and evolution. Wecan not ignore the fact that the pace of the development of traditional Chinesepainting has been significantly accelerated after the baptism of the fire since thewestern powers opened the door to China in the late Qing Dynasty. Strictly speaking,it is a huge change. Particularly under the background of economic globalizationtoday, the heterogeneous culture insinuated in traditional Chinese painting is moreevident. As a significant component of tradition Chinese painting, traditional Chineseink portrait painting also changes a lot in pen and ink language. In the21stcentury, weshould, on the one hand, inherit the traditional Chinese ink portrait painting, and onthe other hand, pay attention to and face the impact of western culture on traditionalChinese ink portrait painting. Transition of the objective drawing to pen and inklanguage is the key to the successful formation of the pen and ink language of thepainter. However, objective drawing is a kind of heterogeneous culture in thedevelopment of Chinese ink portrait painting. Whether it promotes or inhibits thedevelopment of current ink portrait painting is still a deeply discussed question. This thesis talks about the relationship of current Chinese ink portrait paintingand realistic sketch drawing, a deep analysis of the impact on the former exerted bythe latter is presented, with a focus on the status transition in the merging process. Wegive a point of view that refute the opinion that the Chinese current ink painting isinfluenced by the realistic sketch drawing, presenting that the inclusion of Chinesecurrent ink painting make itself include the advantageous factors for its own linguisticsystem, rather than skimpily influenced by the Chinese current ink painting. Theauthor hopes to present a brand new outlook on the development and innovations ofthe Chinese ink figure painting.
