The Transition Of The Sketch Awareness In The Development Of Chinese Realistic Oil Painting

Sketch is a relatively simple and common art, which is of unique aesthetic value. It is also the foundation of the realistic oil painting and plays a significant role in the oil painting. Chinese realistic oil painting in different historical periods shows different artistic styles. Sketching is as a basic drawing language, along with which, sketch awareness have experienced its historical changes. The article is divided into four chapters based on the research and analysis.The first chapter analyses the effects of the sketches on realistic oil painting. It expounds the basic functions of sketches to oil paintings mainly from the following several aspects: the preliminary sketch, the shape modeling, the space and volume performance, and the relationship between the drawing and color,The second chapter analyses the development of Chinese realistic oil painting and its artistic style in different historical period. From the study of French classical oil paintings before the founding of China to the learning of the realistic and classical painting in Soviet Union after the founding of China, then to the new classical oil painting and the country realism oil painting since the Chinese reform and the Cenozoic oil painting in the 90s , the Chinese realistic oil painting is moving onward.The third chapter analyses the transition of the sketch awareness with the development of Chinese realistic oil painting in different historical periods. From the sketch system in Xu Beihong's drawings before the founding of China to the research about the pencil sketch system of Christakos in soviet union after the founding of China, then the further study of the overall style of the western sketch since the Chinese reform, the author elaborates the historical changes of sketch awareness.Chapter four describes the status quo and progress of Chinese realistic oil painting in the background of conceptualized contemporary art. In addition, it analyses the current situation and the development of the sketch diversification.
