A Comparative Study Of Yuxian Paper-cut Culture And Japanese Paper-cut Culture

With the progress of times，the development of folk culture varies a lot in China andJapan because of the different attitude to the folk culture. Based on the development oftoday’s folk culture in China and Japan, this paper performs the comparative study onYuxian’s paper-cut and Japanese paper-cut and has an in-depth and open discussion ontheir respective advantages and aspects they borrow from each other.This paper is divided into several major parts: the first part is the introduction of theYuxian paper-cut; and then comes the understanding of the Japanese paper-cut; the thirdpart is the comparison of the two kinds of paper-cut and also the similarities anddifferences between the two in cultural origins; the final part makes the comment on theresult of the study on the two paper-cut form.With the illustration, the paper elaborates itspoint of view, emphasizing the role of the exchange between Yuxian paper-cut andJapanese paper-cut. In addition to the carry forward for the protection of the Japanesepaper-cut for reference, the paper also points out that strengthening the exchange of thetwo forms of paper-cut will played a role in Sino-Japanese non-governmental exchangesand friendly diplomatic relations in the future.Research on the differences between Yuxian paper-cut and Japanese paper-cut is ofgreat significance in promoting the development of Chinese folk culture, folk cultureprotection and local economic development. Therefore, it is a very realistic andmeaningful research topic.
