For Chinese literary world, Lillian Lee is a wonder. With her unique personality andher original novels, she has received the extensive attention of readers. Based on the ideaswhich she has always followed that writing novels is an enjoyment to entertain yourself firstand then to amuse others, she has created dozens of novels. Her novels , however, containmany plots from the present through the ancient and between the world of yin and yang.From a certain perspective, mystery and glamour become the two major characteristics ofher novels . According to this , she indulges in the self-admiration of her own novels.But, all of her seven novels that have been adapted into films bring us into a new world.Lee herself participated in the process of the playwriting , which guaranteed the coherencein the style between the films and the original works. In particular, some of them, such asFarewell, My Concubine and Rouge , have been considered to be the representatives ofChinese films. At this point, the films adapted from her novels entertain the mass in deed.This paper makes some research and study about Lillian Lee of the self-admiration inher novel writing and the mass carnival in her film adaptation . The thesise can be dividedinto three chapters:In the first chapter, "the apply of gender colour analysis" will be analyse Lillian Lee’smain literaries by the heroine works characters of gender setting, the novels setting and theemotional tone aspects of their works of gender colour.In the seeond chapter,we will analyses her works have popular and entertainingcharacters which accord with the commercial charaeters of HongKong films.In the third chapter, " the joint of Literature and film under the refined " will combinethe first two chapters’analysis to make a futher discussion, by this to talk about the LillianLee’s novel’s unique feminism colour and rich film elements, and explores how to combinefor futher analysis, in the end,this paper will summarizes the LiBiHua unique literary style.
