Disscussion On The Suffering Consciousness Of Lu Yao’s Novels

Lu yao’s life is suffering,bumpy life experience made him start thinking andunderstanding the life theme of misery earlier than ordinary people. Lu Yao puts the uniqueexperience and understanding about misery into his literary creation which made his worksdisplay a kind of mature, rational, deep suffering consciousness.This paper regards sufferingconsciousness in Lu yao’s novels as pointcut, adopting the way of close reading to interpretsuffering consciousness cautiously and carefully, further analyzing Lu yao’s rich and complexcreation psychological, grasping the value of suffering consciousness.This paper is divided into three parts,including introduction,body and conclusion. Theintroduction mainly discusses Lu yao’s creation course and the domestic research status,besides, summarizes the connotation of suffering consciousness in Lu yao’s novels. The bodyis divided into three chapters:The first chapter regards suffering and body, suffering and soul, suffering and sexual loveas pointcut,expounding the text representation and the reason of suffering consciousness in Luyao’s novels. The body is suffering. Poor material life made the body hunger,cold and ill.Theheavy labor that in order to get rid of poverty exacerbated body’s suffering.The soul is alsosuffering. It is particularly evident in the rural youth wandering between the urban and ruralareas.On one hand, they are wandering between inferior and self-esteem, on the other hand,they also bear the identity discrimination. In addition,the love story settled in the tragedy,made the suffering more strength and depth.The second chapter analysis Lu yao’s rich and complex creation psychological byinterpreting the close relationship between flood,land,caves and suffering consciousness.Luyao inherited the motif that flood destroy human in the flood myth,further exploring theflood suffering connotation, regard "the flood" imagery as a metaphor of human suffering,Symbolizing the fate of impermanence and the fragility of life. The land imagery gets luyao’saffectionate compliment and sing. Land raise people like a mother.It is also people’s spiritualhome, loading people’s sufferings of life. In the discourse of northern area , the cave is nolonger just as the people’s living space,it is also a symbol of wealth and status . In Luyao’sworks, the cave is a contradictory imagery. On one hand, the cave is worn, people can not livecomfortable and decent.On the other hand, the cave load the collective unconscious ,dispelled the sufferings like a mother.In the third chapter,we talk about the value of suffering consciousness. Lu yao’s sufferingconsciousness is based on the positive and optimistic attitude,inspiring people to face withsuffering,pursuing self-worth in the misery,building noble personality. With many socialproblems highlighting, Lu yao’s works are still the grassroots people’s mental support whichcan encourage them to go on the practice of life reforming and social transforming.The introduction rethinks the shortcomings of the suffering consciousness in Lu yao’snovels,and determinese the value of suffering consciousness combining with the social reality.
