Research objectives: Reveal the types and characteristics of self-identity and socialidentity of outstanding university students,through to the questionnaire andsemi-structured interview of outstanding university students. The combination of thesecharacteristics and the principles of ideological and political education,to put forward theeducation strategy of training outstanding students.The research content:(1)excellent college students of self-identification typecharacteristic;(2) characteristics of the social identity of the excellent students;(3)characteristics of excellent college students’ self-identity and social identity to therevelation of the ideological and political education.Research methods:(1) the paper Chapter 1 and Chapter 2,mainly used the study methodof literature investigation and the theoretical thinking;(2)Chapter 3 of the paper,utilizedthe college student’s Self Identity Scale prepared by the domestic scholar Jinshan Guo,used SPSS19.0 statistical software to conduct independent samples T-test for survey dataobtained;(3)the chapter 4, prepared the social identity questionnaire of the excellentcollege students,tests the reliability and validity of the scale,used SPSS19.0 statisticalsoftware to conduct optimal scale regression analysis for the measured data;(4) the chapter5, prepared Semi-structured interview outline based on the correlation theories of the selfidentity and social identity,processed the depth of the one-on-one interviews,employedthe grounded theory to register coding and analysis on interview material;(5)Chapter 6,putted forward the education strategies of training outstanding students, according to theconclusions of the previous sections,combined with the principles and characteristics ofthe ideological and political education.Research results:(1)excellent college students’ self - identity emerged eight characteristic,for example, the main types of their self-identification belongs to achievement type andmoratorium type;(2)Excellent college students’ social identity presents six big features,forexample,a role cognition as the foundation, identifying role as the core of the cognitivecharacteristics.Conclusions of revelation: (1) to enhance the value recognition of the ideological andpolitical education;(2)the guidance of ideological and political education need to rely on the different levels of college students’ ideological;(3) design clear career planning,according to the college students’ inherent characteristics;(4)Build a good school cultureatmosphere,cultivate good students’ sense of belonging.
