A Textual Reserch Of Wen Xi Diao Long Zawen And The Discussion Of Liu Xie’s Views On Essay

<Wen Xin Diao Long> play a decisive role and have a huge impact in the History of Chinese Literary Criticism and traditional Chinese culture. From perspective of studies on literary genre,<Wen Xin Diao Long> spends half of the length on discussing the ancient literary genre in great detail and systemically, so it becomes the classical words of the ancient studies on literary genre. However, as a result of the impact of modern western literature idea, Some literary genre such as Zhang, Biao, Ming, Lei, which are regarded as "Non literature", is often ignored by modern scholars. Zawen is one of that. Modern scholars’research of Zawen often make Essay as the starting point and the reference, so that the research of Zawen lose its historical context and shows some biased.Zawen is an important and special category in the ancient studies on literary genre. It is not a kind of authors’conscious creation such as Poem, Fu, Ming, but a genre which collect those that cannot be placed in the traditional literary genre in the later process of collecting and review articles. It is often known as "Miscellaneous Writings" in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Zawen and is not a" hodgepodge" style which collects complex writing, and has its own standards;" It is also is a kind of the fighting and social critical style not like people said, but a kind of unconscious creation, conscious classification. In the history of the development of Zawen, Liu Xie’s discussion on Zawen is the most fully and systematic. He listed single section specifically in <Wen Xin Diao Long> and discuss Zawen.This thesis discriminate the problems such as Zawen’s ownership of "Wen or Bi" based on the text of <Wen Xin Diao Long· Zawen>, and make detailed textual research and interpretation on three main literary genres-Duiwen, Qi, Lianzhu and sixteen literary genres referred in the end of this text from the discussion of Liu Xie, combined with specific literary works and historical context to sum up Liu Xie’s theory on Duiwen, Qi, and Lianzhu. Then we can extract Liu Xie’s views and attitudes on Zawen. Liu Xie thought Zawen’s main feature is "the branch of the article and a humble and entertaining literary genre which is made in leisure time". It is a kind of marginalized literary genre compared the classical style (pulse "Positive Pulse"). Liu Xie’s views on Zawen are the same as the whole idea of "Wen Xin Diao Long", reflecting his deep concern of realistic literary genre. The impact of Liu Xie’s view on Zawen is mostly his critical spirit and sense of stylistic research methodology. These laid the important historical position of Liu Xie’s "Wen Xin Diao Long".
