The Research Of Wang Zhong’s Parallel Prose

Wang Zhong is not only one of the most famous masters of Classic Studies, but a typical writer of Parallel Prose in the middle of Qing Dynasty as well. For a long time, due to great focus of classic studies and the neglect of parallel prose in academia, there is not enough importance had been attached to his achievement on parallel prose. In this paper, in addition of the useful principles, the parallel prose he created was categorized in accordance with all his life time and his personality, and then more attention had been paid to the formation of its ideological origins, eventually his writing style of parallel prose was summarized. Except for the preface and epilogue, three chapters were included in the whole paper. In the first chapter, his life and the character were discussed and expounded, and also his prose was classified in this chapter; In the subsequent chapter, specially, the applicably parallel prose was analyzed, which was divided into two parts separately named’useful to the world’and ’penetration through history’, and mainly consist of practical writing and countermeasures. From the two aspects of formation of ideological origins and its performance in the creation, the artistic characteristic for the writing of the same type was explored. The non-applicably counterparts was dealt with in the last chapter, which was chiefly based on works for the expression of poet himself and satirical current affairs. On the basis of writing feature of’not temporary’ and ’expression of proud personality’, The feelings and thoughts in his works and the creative background of its article were both explored.
