The rhythm is regular repeated. As the formal beauty of one of the most important elements in the visual arts, whose characteristics consist in the corresponding relationship between circadian rhythm, the pace of life and emotional psychological rhythm. The rhythm is the sense of movement caused by the repeat of the same visual element. Rhythm is a kind of repetitive regular and mechanical beauty. The essence of the rhythm is alternation and repetition, which are repeated in various ways precisely with a strong rhythm.This thesis consists of three parts:the opening introduction, the formulation of this research direction, the writing purpose and significance.The word "rhythm" comes from the music. With the understanding of art and painting, the "rhythm" gradually extends to various areas of the painting. Appeal of the painting is embodied in the formal beauty of painting. The rhythm is one of the important rules in painting beauty of form, which does not just exist in the movement of sound, instead, form, movement, color and so on can also cause rhythm. The first chapter describes the embodiment of the rhythm in watercolor. Watercolor midline length, thickness, dense, and the way of using the pen, the water of color, the size of the blocks of color, shape, repeated changes in intensity, and performance of a pen in the picture on the formation of visual effects will give people the rhythm of pleasure. This article studies the paintings with the manifestations of the basic elements:line, shape, color, shadow and texture to explore the visual impact of the rhythm in watercolor painting, and the in-depth and systematic study will help extend language of the art of watercolor.The second chapter introduces rhythmic diversity in watercolor."Water" and "color" is the basic elements of watercolor. Through the understanding and application of "water" and "color" language, we can create a type of "light music" and "Symphony" style of picture. Graceful combination of "water" and "color" has a wealth of visibility and readability. As mentioned earlier to the texture, brush strokes, whose anifestations reveal the watercolor drawing and absorbing other kinds of paintings.Chapter III describes the aesthetic meaning of the rhythm in watercolor painting, and it illustrates the rhythm of its impact from two angles of the viewer and the painter. The purpose of the rhythm is to show some kind of artistic conception and situation which we can see out from the specific images. The availability to own the rhythm is that the work must have a pleasant nature. And a new creative themes and skillful performance are as bedding. The painters does not completely and truthfully describe the objects, but by a reasonable choice on the images and arrangements, and figurative summing to produce special artistic value specific that images do not have. Different forms of rhythms convey varying degrees and different types of information for the pictures; lacking rhythm, the picture will lack anima, however, and purposive and distinctive compact rhythm is the result of carefully tempered and rational use of the language of watercolor painting, and the expression of rhythm is various. In different times and in different schools of painting and different artists, there will be a rich form of expression. It is not purely the mysterious combination of line, shape and color, but a manifestation of a long social practice and historical development process of the formation in the feeling of spirit, and the bridge between the viewer and the artist in soul communication.With the continuous development of society, watercolor has been developed, and the rhythm of the skill in watercolor has become increasingly mature and rich. The rhythm is absolutely necessary in formal beauty of the language of painting. It does expose the nature of life and also deepen the theme of the painting by the form of drawing and the shape of the image; It uses visual effects to create a strong sense of rhythm in the form of beauty. Precisely because of its involvement, watercolor painting will be lively and full of fun.
