This chapter outlined the folklore and folk culture in ancient streetsand alleys of Kaifeng. They are the prerequisite and basis for the existence of fengshui. This chapter firstdescribes the folklore, including the characteristics and the classification, the second section describes folkculture, in addition to folk culture, it also includes culture of name,folk culture and architectural culture.Chapter two: Fengshui in the folklore of ancient streets and alleys about Kaifeng. The relationship betweenfolklore and beliefs are an important part of the folklore Context. folklore and fengshui should be based onfolk life as a starting point, because they have occupied an important place in people’s lives. I focus on thefolklore collection, collation and analysis, and refer to the customs of the people’s daily lives, and illustratethe concept of fengshui in ancient streets and alleys. Chapter three: Practical value of folklore in ancientstreets and alleys. The reality value of the folklore is compared with the artificial construction, andhighlights the value and utility of folklore.
