With the rapid development of five-year polytechniques education in China, theproblems existing in English writing teaching of English educational majors haveappeared, such as students’ low interest in writing, getting used to structure of writingin Chinese. This study suggests that the main root lies in the inappropriate writingteaching method. In order to solve the problem effectively, this study will investigatethe writing situation of both teachers and students majoring in English teaching offive-year polytechniques education in a normal school in Jiangxi province. At thesame time, the author will apply saying composition teaching method as a semesterteaching experiment, then make a relatively objective analysis, in the hope of offeringsome help to English writing of five-year English educational majors in other normalpolytechniques in Jiangxi province.This thesis includes six parts:The first part is introduction. It will introduce the topic selection backgroundand significance, purpose, content, and put forward to new methods and framework ofthe paper, then lead to the question of the study.The second part is the literature review. It will summarize the overall situationof the second language writing in foreign countries, the present research of domesticEnglish writing and the teaching of writing and the shortage of current researchsituation in polytechniques English writing teaching, to provide a theoretical referenceand model.The third part is the implementation of saying composition in five-yearpolytechniques English writing teaching of English educational majors. Combinedwith the characteristic of five-year polytechniques English educational major, and thepresentation of saying composition theory basis, this thesis will discuss the possibilityand necessity of saying composition in five-year polytechniques English writingteaching of English educational majors.The fourth part is the structure of saying composition teaching mode. Based on the related elaboration in the third part, this part will try putting forward the basicframework of saying composition teaching model, and do an analysis of problemswhich should be paid attention to in the implementing of saying composition teaching.The fifth part is the empirical research of saying composition in English writingof five-year polytechniques education. This thesis will do a contrastive experiment onwhether to adopt saying composition in teaching, and then analyze the differentwriting score between controlled class and experimental class. In the end, it willdiscuss the efficiency of saying composition in English writing.The last part is conclusion. It will be the summary of this study, analyze theshortage of it, and put forward to the prospects and advice for future research.
