As parents and society are paying more and more attention to kids' education,there is a low-aging tendency of English learning,so more and more kindergartens are boasting “bilingual education”.However,English leaning in most of the so-called“bilingual kindergartens” is just that English teacher in the kindergarten or the foreign teacher has an English class for kids everyday.When the class is over,so does kids' English learning,not throughout kids' daily life.That is closely related to teacher's English level.Most of the teachers in kindergartens are graduates majoring in pre-school education,whose English proficiency is limited.Preschool education major in secondary and higher vocational colleges is the main front for training preschool talents.However,there are certain disadvantages in English teaching in preschool education.There is a huge gap between the goal of teaching and the actual needs of the job.The way and effect of talents cultivation in preschool education can not meet the real demand of the society.Therefore,in order to truly achieve "bilingual education" in kindergartens,it is necessary to reform the English teaching of pre-school education majors in secondary and higher vocational schools,and improve the English level of students who are the reserve force of pre-school education talents.In this context,the author selected “ A Study on the Reform of English Teaching for Pre-school Education Major Under Five-year System Based on Job Orientation--Take Guangdong Preschool Normal College in Maoming as an Example”as the research topic.According to the problems existing in English learning and English teaching of the five-year preschool education major,combined with the characteristics of the major,the author studied on how to carry out English teaching reform of the five-year preschool education major.On the basis of previous studies on English teaching for preschool education major and the theories of Needs Analysis and ESP,the author made a questionnaire survey on the students of preschool education majors under five-year system in Grades 2015,2016 and 2017 of Maoming Normal College of Preschool Education in Guangdong Province and interviewed teachers who have courses for pre-school education major to find out the current situation of English learning and English teaching of pre-school education major under five-year system.The author also made a questionnaire survey on the principals of 25 kindergartens in Maoming city to find out the requirements of employers on the comprehensive English language ability and English teaching ability of preschool education graduates,as well as the suggestions on English teaching for preschool education major.Finally,basing on the needs of the career,the author put forward five suggestions for English teaching reform for pre-school education major under five-year system: 1.building a professional curriculum system,according to the basic concept of curriculum setting,curriculum goals,curriculum structure.2.combining excellent professional teaching materials with self-compiled teaching materials.3.exploring the teaching mode oriented by job demands,including the activity teaching method,picture book teaching method,the combination of on-campus training and off-campus practice.4.guiding students to combine career planning with English learning,and adhere to the combination of English learning and promotion of employment,so as to improve students' core ability in finding job.
