Wang Shidan is one of the most elderly Number One Scholar in Qing Dynasty; he isthe most important representative in Parnassus during the reign of Kangxi. He is labeled asone of three little phoenixes on the left bank, the top of fifteen scholars on the left bank. Helives in a transitional period in Qing Dynasty; his poetry has a distinct epoch characteristic.He writes profusely and has a profound effect on later generation. He writes twenty-fivevolumes of Lou Village Poems. Qing literature is voluminous; however, the specificresearches as well as proofreading of Wang Shidan are rare. This paper briefly analyzesand collates Wang Shidan’s work, through the study of this paper; I hope the readers canget a better understanding of his work.This dissertation is divided into four chapters. The first chapter presents WangShidan’s family and life experience through the method of textual study. The secondchapter analyzes and unscrambles the content of his work; I put emphasis on his antiphonyand scenery poetry. In the third chapter, I unveil the poet’s general artistic look and intendto analyze variety based on pomp and circumstance. Chapter four epitomizes predecessor’scomments or remarks on Wang Shidan, it summarizes his status and influence in poeticcircle.
