The legend drama Huan Sha Ji written by Liang Chenyu of the Ming Dynasty,develops into the clue with the love story of Xishi and Fanli, plays the role of the historicalstory about the rise and fall of two countries Wu and Yue in Spring and Autumn period.This is the first legend script for kunqu opera performance, which can promote the kunquopera’s development and it also have an important position in the whole story of Chineseopera. The study based on ‘Stage performance’ perspective, analyzed the stageperformance of Huan Sha Ji by looking up poetries, notes and anthologies of the previousgenerations, and emphatically introduced the situation of the changes in circumstance fromMing and Qing Dynasty.The first chapter mainly studied the text of Huan Sha Ji in the aspects of structure andlayout of drama, character creation, drama language, and ostentation and extravagancedesign, knowing the internal reason of existing in the stage. The second chapter aims toshow Huan Sha Ji’s performance style from Ming and Qing Dynasty to Republican period.The writer introduced how actors use highlighted act to process and inherit Huan Sha Jifrom anthologies. The third chapter set the new adopted Huan Sha Ji as research objectsince the foundation of the state, discussed the styles and development of Huan Sha Ji. Thelast part briefly summed up the whole changing process and reasons of Huan Sha Ji.
