| After the two tides of "anti-espionage film" and "public security film", another tide using some typical plots called "spy drama" contributes a lot to show the story of spying and encourage the audience to pay respect to those heroes who were underground workers. It is their sacrifice and contribution that gives us well-being today. Realizing this, we can exterminate the cultural and national identity crisis existing in current China."Imagined community" theory says that people can imagine a fair, liberal and limited nation having some "synchronous experiences" together where the meaning of sacrifice is well-explained. With thinking of "national imagination", this paper considers "spy drama" in the21st century as the object, and tries to figure out the subject, content and pattern of it.There are five parts of this paper, including:the introduction, chapter1,2and3and the conclusion.The introduction introduces the question origin, the present research achievement and theories involved, with the ideas, logic and method of this paper.In Chapter One, the main theoretical categories concerned are defined first and their connection is further be researched. Lastly, this chapter answered the question of who the subject of imagined community is.In Chapter Two, the content of imagined community in spy drama is demonstrated from the time dimension of "past","present" and "future". Through this, we know the historical memory of revolution, the imagination and construction of future and how they are tied at the present.In Chapter Three, this paper focuses on the way of construction of "national imagination" in the "spy drama". The first part of is the comprehensive research:heroes, modes and settings and merge of different TV play patterns. The second part uses two concrete examples for further demonstration:Borrow Gun and the Cliff.The conclusion part gives an overview of "national imagination" in "spy drama" and put forward some ideas on this topic by the pursuit of modernization. |
