The Study On Lotus Decorative Of The Song Jin Red-Green Color Porceain

The rea-green color porcelain is created by CiZhou kiln in the west of Song Dynasty. It is the beginning of the overglazed color figure, and influences the wucai porcelain in Yuan Dynasty directly. Because the Buddhism introduced into China, the lotus flower decoration was popular, until Tang Dynasty, the lotus flower decoration was luxuriant. It’s the symbol of Buddhism. After Song Dynasty, the lotus flower was become civilian, and thinner, looks more like chrysanthemum decoration. The lotus flower decoration on red-green porcelain in Song Dynasty has obvious earmark of CiZhou kiln skill. Study the decoration on porcelain in a period is not only knew the time characteristic, but also can bring the new idea for ceramic creative today.At present, people don’t pay enough attention on the research of red-green color porcelain in Song and Jin Dynasty. Even not has the paper for the decoration on red-green color porcelain. In this paper, the lotus flower decoration on red-green color porcelain in Song and Jin Dynasty is the main point of study, and combined with lots of related literatures and pictures material, applying the archaeological typological method, the author classifies the lotus flower decoration on red-green color porcelain of Song an d Jin Dynasty into three categories, and each category are divided into several types. Meantime, the society background, cultural background and aesthetic background study explore its real cultural value and artistic value. The subject of the studies can supply the theoty of the red-green color porcelain in Song and Jin Dynasty.
