Anatoly Ivanovixh Kusyakov is an extraordinary composer and educator in contemporary Russia.Through analyzing the magnum opus“Autumn sketches”by Kusyakov,The author trying to explore profound artistic and cultural connotation in depth.The paper is divided into four chapters.Chapter one introduces the composer and the composing background.The Chapter two, the author analyzes the work of“Autumn sketches”itself. This paper generalize the works’composing characteristics----the combination of traditional technique and modern technique, from the analyzing of musical form, mode and tonality, rhythm and meter,melody,harmony,and so on.Chapter three gives advices on the performance. Through the analysis and the personal understanding,the purpose of this paper is to provide a reference on a more accurate grasp of the playing style.
