| The campus drama is an important part of the Chinese drama. Since brought into China, it has been full of passion and played an important role in various historical periods during China’s social development. It provided a broad platform for the majority of young people to pay attention to society, express inner thoughts and achieve self-realization. It also contributed to cultural transmission in history.Although campus drama now seems to be booming, its responsibility in social reflection is getting weaker and weaker for some reasons. There is little information of campus dramas, thus few researches on the cultural spread could be expected.This paper starts with the contribution of the campus drama during different stages of historical development, which is divided into three stages, the cultural transmission in New Culture Movement, in the anti-Japanese War period, and after the reform and opening period. Based on the development status of research on the present campus drama club, and Black and White Drama Society of Zhejiang University as a case study, we analyze the cultural transmission status of the campus drama in Zhejiang University with survey interviews. Then we summarize the status quo of present campus drama in cultural spread from disseminator, contents, media, audience, and effects. We points out the plight of the cultural dissemination of the present campus drama, including its properties in subsidiary, low efficient, amateur and so on. We also find reasons to hinder the cultural dissemination of the present campus drama, including not only the external factors such as the increasingly deviation culture, the increasingly strict administrative control, and the dwindling financial support, but also the internal factors such as the weak theoretical construction, the weakness of the brand, the status of each camp, and the missing cultural guide.Finally, we redefine the campus drama, and make recommendations for its future development. |
