The Research On Cao Liangwu And His Ci Poetry

Under the leadership of Chen Weisong, YangXian School advocated the new style of Ci and the respection to Ci’s form instead of the obscene and vulgar style.Cao Liangwu and Chen Weisong are cousins and Cao Liangwu was one of the important members of YangXian School. After the death of Chen Weisong, he became the leader of the YangXian School. Based on Cao Liangwu’s life and Ci, his works will be discussed in this paper. The discussion will include the value and significance of himself and his Ci for YangXian School.The preface mainly introduces the value,the research status and research thoughts of Cao Liangwu’s Ci.The main part contains four chapters.The research focus of the first chapter is Cao Liangwu’s family background and life experience and its infuence to the poet’s writing psychology. In this chapter, I will clear Cao Liangwu’family background and biographical background by collecting the prefaces and postscript and biography and some sporadic historical data which were written by other poets.The focus of the second chapter is Cao Liangwu’s activities and assertion of Ci. The key to the study includes relative and the transformation in literature between Cao Liangwu and other poets of YangXian School and his activity of selecting and forming the Original Collection ofJingXi Ci. He emphasized the neat of language and the harmonious rhythm. He also thought Ci contain different things and its style should be bold and graceful.The subjects and contents of Cao Liangwu’Ci will be discussed in this chapter. The subjects of his Ci inclueds a lot of things,such as dating, travelogue, mourning and erotic. The main part of this chapter is the concrete analysis and interpretation of Cao Liangwu’Ci. After that, the poet will be analysised.The content of the fourth chapter is Cao Liangwu’artistic techniques and style. He haighly praised the artistic techniques, of Su Dongpo and Xin Qiji. That means the poetry and the sentence and discussion, dialogue and other specific techniques of ancient prose can be used in Ci.Ci should play the fuction of expressing poets’emotion. In accordance with the ancient form of Ci, he used allusions and ancient poem in his works. His clean and boogie creation show the plaintive meaning was. His style is bold and graceful.
